Who is your counselor?
Hi Holy Name Family, my name is Sarah Waltz. I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2014, with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in children and adolescents. I then attended the University of Texas San Antonio, where I earned a master's degree in Social Work. I am very excited to be at Holy Name! I am looking forward to learning and growing with students, parents, and staff.
What does a counselor do?
⦁ Serves as the mental health advocate for students and assesses student counseling needs.
⦁ Provides individual developmental, preventive, remedial, and/or crisis counseling.
⦁ Provides small group developmental, preventive, remedial, and/or crisis counseling.
⦁ Provides counseling and guidance to assist children and parents in assuming responsibility for mental health maintenance of students.
